Hebrews 1:1-4
Jesus is God’s final and complete revelation to us. In the past, God spoke through the prophets in many ways, but now He has spoken through His Son. Jesus is not just another messenger—He is the heir of all things, the Creator, the radiance of God’s glory, and the exact representation of His nature.
I was especially encouraged that after providing purification for our sins, He sat down at the right hand of God, showing that His work of salvation is complete. This passage reminds me to listen to Jesus above every other voice and to trust fully in His finished work and His supreme authority.
The book of Hebrews was written to Jewish Christians who were going through hard times. They were facing persecution, suffering, and pressure to return to Judaism because following Jesus had become difficult.
The writer encourages them not to give up their faith. Instead, he shows that Jesus is greater than everything they once trusted:
- Greater than the prophets
- Greater than the angels
- Greater than Moses
- Greater than the priests
- Greater than the old covenant and sacrifices
The main message of Hebrews is:
Keep your eyes on Jesus. He is enough. Don’t turn back. Keep trusting Him until the end.
Hebrews 1:1–4 begins by declaring who Jesus is. While God spoke through the prophets in the past, He has now spoken fully through His Son. Jesus is God’s final and perfect revelation, the Creator, the Savior, and the King who reigns forever.
Jesus is supreme, so He alone is worthy of our complete trust and worship.
