A Birthday Poem

A man of God who walks with quiet grace,
Steady in purpose, unwavering in pace.
Faithful in love, in promise, in prayer,
Carrying God’s peace like a breath in the air.

A husband whose presence speaks louder than sound,
A father whose love is vast and unbound.
Not only to our son, but to many he stands
As a warrior and shepherd with gentle, strong hands.

Soft-spoken, reserved, a man of few words,
Yet each one he offers is wisdom conferred.
A teacher whose life is a lesson so true,
A heart fully yielded, a soul God renews.

Since 2007 he has given his all,
Answering fully the LW ministry call.
With Benji beside him—best friend and guide—
A quiet, detailed worker with heaven as pride.

A provider, a prayerful companion each day,
One-on-one he ministers in a tender way.
Program coordinator with excellence shown,
An elder who helps the hurting find home.

At sixty-four, still steadfast, still kind,
Persevering in spirit, in heart, and in mind.
An introvert—yes—but in love he is bold,
A gentle man of wisdom, more precious than gold.

On this blessed birthday, may joy crown your days,
May God fill your path with new songs of praise.
May strength be renewed as the seasons unfold,
And may love wrap around you a thousandfold.

As Scripture declares, “Your latter will be greater” than before,
So I pray overflowing grace at your heart’s very door.
May God lift your eyes to His goodness each year,
And lead you in peace with His presence so near.

As retirement draws near in twenty-twenty-six’s light,
May God shape this new season with promise shining bright.
May rest, renewed purpose, and joy intertwine,
And may your latter years overflow with the divine.

Admired by many, deeply loved by all who know his way,
His fatherly heart brings comfort day by day.
A steady refuge, gentle, wise, and true—
A living reflection of God’s love shining through.
